What a remap does for a diesel Renault Clio

The gains from remapping a diesel come from the engine management software rather than new parts: injection, boost and torque limits are re-mapped, which is why torque improves most and why the car often feels easier to drive at lower revs.

Ranked by power gain against the other diesel Clio engines (8 in total), the DTI 1.9 80(2) is 1st, 3 bhp above the Clio diesel average of 27 bhp.
